Meet Rocko, a handsome 10-month-old Golden Retriever/Terrier mix who is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home. Sadly, Rocko was relinquished by his owner when they fell on tough times. Though this change has been hard on him, Rocko is resilient and still full of love to give.

With his beautiful coat and playful energy, Rocko is great with children, other dogs, and even cats! He has the sweet, friendly nature of a Golden Retriever mixed with the fun-loving personality of a Terrier, making him a fantastic balance of energy and affection. Whether it’s a romp in the yard or a long walk followed by snuggles on the couch, Rocko is always ready to be part of the fun. Initially, Rocko can be a little shy, but he warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. He’ll thrive in a home where he can continue learning and growing with patient, loving guidance.

Rocko is eager to continue his training and, with the support of a caring family, he’s sure to grow into a loving companion.

His journey began in an overcrowded high-kill shelter, where he and his brother were abandoned and fell gravely ill with an upper respiratory infection. Both were placed on the euthanasia list, but thanks to the compassion of a foster family and a dedicated volunteer, Sundance was given a second chance at life.

Now fully recovered, Sundance’s sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He’s full of energy, loves playing with toys, and adores outdoor adventures. Like a true hound, he’s playful, curious, and always ready for fun!

Sundance is still learning and will need continued training, especially with leash skills, but he’s eager to please and quick to learn. He would thrive in a home with someone experienced with big dogs who can guide him through his puppy phase with patience and love.
