16 month old female standard poodle named Lexi. She’s 54 lbs, generally loves other pets, and is CGC certified. She’s playful, smart, and spoiled! Are they spayed/neutered?
YesHave you ever bred your pets?
NoPlease share your preferences and limitations (breed limitations, size preference, breed preference, general behavior, etc)
I am open to pretty much any dog that gets along well with Lexi. I have really enjoyed learning about force free positive reinforcement training and would love to be able to work with a dog on skills to help them be adoptable. We have a small dog run and will soon be renovating our yard, so our space is not well suited to a large high energy dog. Lexi goes one two 1-2 mile walks per day and we do training activities and lots of playtime daily. Would prefer a dog that won’t mind Lexi’s playful puppiness and, better yet, enjoys playing along!Where will your foster stay during the day?
They will be in my pad.Where will your foster sleep during the night?
I have a dog bed for them in the houseIf unable to upload photo, please explain the foster dog's living space
Our home is 1200 square feet with wood floors throughout. We have concealed wires in the main living areas and baby proofed outlets since getting Lexi. We also have a fully enclosed puppy playpen (lexi outgrew that 10 months ago but we still have it!) and a large adjustable crate (which Lexi used for a few months, but she now sleeps in the bedroom with us on her own bed). Our foster pup would also sleep in our room, though we would be open to other arrangements if better for the pup! I will be working from home over the summer so I will be very available for a foster pup.. I am 100% sold on fostering, but my husband is a bit on the fence. We would love more information. If we are chosen to foster, our commitment would be through the end of August, due to my work schedule. How long are you willing to keep your foster safe?
