Can you list your current pets? (Breed, Age, Gender, Size, Tempermeant)
We currently have a and we currently have a 4 year old 115 lb Doberman/English Mastiff named Penny, whom we call Penny Jean Love Machine. She’s awesome. Loves people & kittens the most. I have to introduce her properly to other dogs. She doesn’t just love a dog when she meets one. Once properly introduced, she gets along great and really enjoys our fosters. We have a nervous-Nellie 5 year old Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound named Piper who gets along with all our fosters. She keeps her distance from the puppies because they make her a little nervous when they want to play, but the pups quickly learn she likes to look, not touch. We also have a King Snake, Veiled Chameleon, Bearded Dragon, fish, raise a couple of roach colonies for our reptiles ☺️, a scorpion,, and have fostered hundreds of dogs and cats over the past 20 years in several states. Are they spayed/neutered?
YesHave you ever bred your pets?
NoPlease share your preferences and limitations (breed limitations, size preference, breed preference, general behavior, etc)
We need smooth-coated breeds (my hubby’s allergic to a dog with an undercoat like Shepherds, full Labs, Collies, etc. but does fine with wire-haired, smooth coat or “hair vs fur” breeds). We need to stick with “safe” dogs. Small, old, pups... I’m experienced working through all sorts of behavior and health issues. My hubby only bears with my love of animal rescue, so I prefer no extreme cases of separation anxiety, barking or marking. I have to keep him in the game ☺️ I’ve fostered in WA, NY, Mississippi, CA. I’ve been on the DAWG (Dedicated Animal Welfare Group) that’s the private fundraising arm of the Mission Viejo Shelter, for the past several years. I have volunteered with the dogs at the MV Shelter and was awarded “Dog Volunteer if the Year” a couple of years ago. I worked as a kennel attendant in a shelter in Mississippi. We would like to foster with groups closer to home so we don’t have to travel so far for vet visits. My friend, Michelle Cole, said she’s enjoying fostering for your rescue, so I thought I would reach out. 😊Where will your foster stay during the day?

Depending on the dog, I have crates, gate and pens of all sizes. Most of our fosters sleep in a crate at night and progress to a dog bed and maybe even to my older son’s bed if they really score/show good behaviorHow long are you willing to keep your foster safe?
