SHERMAN
Meet Sherman a 2 yr old purebred male Boston Terrier, weighing a petite 18 lbs. He is a typical Boston with lots of playful energy, silly antics, and a big snuggler!
Sherman was rescued from the South LA shelter where he was found as a stray. Sherman is very good with other dogs, and would do well in a home with another dog ideally.
Sherman is a HUGE snuggler and loves his family. He loves nothing more than to be snuggled under the covers with you or sitting on your lap while you watch TV. Sherman is very leary of new people he does not know- particularly men. Once he firmly knows someone he is ok, but strangers are very scary to him and he will become protective of his family. His ideal home would be with someone who does not have a lot of people coming and going, a quiet household where someone is with him most of the time. He is totally fine on his own for a few hours on his own if need be. He loves, loves, his people to no end, but would need to be in an environment with someone that knows the breed and can minimize his exposure to a lot of strangers. Sherman should not go to a home with children.
Sherman does pretty good with housetraining as long as you offer him frequent opportunities to go out. He doesn’t like a crate but will go in if there is a bone or kong to keep him busy.
Sherman is a loving boy who has clearly had a tough past, and would be so wonderful for a person who can make him their world and help him feel safe.
