MOONSHINE

Meet Moonshine, a delightful 5-month-old Plott Hound mix, currently around 30lbs, and expected to grow into a large dog when fully grown.

Moonshine, alongside his brother, was abandoned at an overcrowded high-kill shelter, where both pups fell life-threateningly ill with an upper respiratory infection and were placed on the euthanasia list. Luckily, a kind-hearted samaritan fostered them through their recovery. Once healed, the shelter asked for them back, only to put them back onto the euthanasia list again. Thanks to a committed foster, and dedicated volunteer who provided transport, Moonshine and his brother were given another chance.

Now thriving in his foster home, Moonshine’s sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He’s full of energy, loves to play with toys, and adores outdoor adventures. He’s a typical hound mix—playful, curious, and always ready for fun!

While Moonshine is a joyful pup, he’ll need continued training, especially in terms of leash training, to help him grow into the best dog he can be. Ideally, his forever home would be with someone experienced with big dogs who can guide him through his puppy stage with patience and love. He’s eager to learn and please, and with training, Moonshine is sure to become a beloved member of any family.

If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion with a heart of gold, Moonshine is your perfect match!
