JONA – Adoption Pending

Meet Jona, a sweet and spunky 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, likely with a dash of Jack Russell and pug. Rescued from a shelter and placed in a loving foster home, Jona blossomed into a happy, playful pup who’s eager to find her forever family.

Unfortunately while at her foster home , her foster Mom started to stop some signs that everything wasn’t as it should be and took her to the vets. After some tests we discovered that this little fighter was suffering from a congenital heart disorder, pulmonary valve stenosis, a dangerously severe condition. We asked for help from our community and they rallied around Jona in an incredible way. Thanks to their generosity, Jona underwent a life-saving pulmonary valvoplasty procedure, and we are thrilled to share that she is recovering beautifully! She still has a little way to go, as she continues to wean off her medication, and her follow-up appointment is just around the corner. But as you can see, she’s back to being her adorable, playful, and loving self.

Now she’s starting to feel better, Jona is the ultimate bundle of joy. She’s playful, curious, and full of puppy charm, always ready to bring a smile to your face. Jona is also a snuggle bug who thrives on affection and attention from her humans. With a little guidance, she’ll quickly pick up basic commands and house training, making her an excellent addition to any family.
