At just a year and a half, she's already a total package: obedience trained, house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and trick-performing extraordinaire. She's whip-smart, wildly entertaining, and deeply devoted to the people she loves.
Indigo's love language is equal parts adventure and cuddles. Get her four or more hours of exercise, mental stimulation, or purposeful work — think agility, frisbee, hiking, herding sports, or fetch marathons — and she transforms into the calmest, most affectionate couch companion you've ever met. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is always down to play.
Like many cattle dogs, Indigo is cautious with new people, especially men she hasn't met. With a patient, confident person and a few treats, she warms up quickly and will be your shadow before you know it. She needs a secure, calm leader who can help her feel safe in new situations.
Indigo does not do well when left alone for long stretches. She thrives when her person is around — whether that's working from home, taking her on errands, or building a schedule that keeps her engaged and connected. A yard to burn energy in is a big bonus.
