Meet Rex!
At just ten weeks old, Rex has already proven that spirit matters more than circumstance. Found in a homeless encampment in Perris, California, this shepherd mix puppy arrived in the world facing challenges that would have slowed most dogs down — but not Rex.
Rex was born with rear leg deformities that affect his mobility. He now uses a set of wheels to get around, and he's getting faster by the day. Watch out — this little guy has somewhere to be. Despite his extra needs, Rex approaches every single day with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a wagging tail that just won't quit.
He's currently working hard on potty training and crate training, and he's absolutely crushing it. Smart, resilient, and impossibly cute, Rex is the kind of dog who makes you root for him from the very first moment you meet him. Rex is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog and will continue to thrive with the right support.
Because of his mobility needs and energetic shepherd instincts, we're looking for an experienced dog owner who can offer him patience, consistency, structure, and a whole lot of love. Special dogs like Rex don't come along often. He's already overcome so much in his short life, and now he's ready — truly ready — for the forever home he deserves. Could that be yours?
